Tomamu Hokkaido Japan

I am here for 2nd season and my son was very happy with the ski instructor. First, he was reluctant to move from kids club to adults group class but at the end he found few friends at similar age 12-14 years old… then it was very fun. I myself had accident last year when I joined the group class, so decided to take private lesson and my ski instructor, Tan, is very supportive and skillful, she help me to build up confident on the ski. We will definitely to go back there again because of Tan and the Thai receptions.

We had a wonderful ski holiday at Club Med Tomamu last week. Travel and ski arrangements were well organized and hassle free. Our commendation goes in particular to the ski instructor Chris D. His focussed and patient instruction helped my son grasped the technique to transit from wedge turns to parallel turns and also boosted his confidence in challenging new runs. Most happy that my son got promoted from Club 2 to Club 3 after two day’s parallel turn lessons by Chris! The only drawback is Club Med gets expensive during peak season.

This is, in my opinion, the best premium ski-in, ski-out resort, with a perfect location right by the lifts and gondola. My family and I had the best time leveling up our skiing with our private coaches, Rodo and Marti—they knew exactly which slopes would challenge and excite us, all while providing expert safety guidance. I also loved the amazingly friendly staff, the outdoor onsen, and the incredible buffet spreads. We’ve already booked to return for New Year’s Eve and Feb 2027. Can't wait to be back!

We had a wonderful time at Club Med Tomamu during Chinese New Year (Feb 14–21, 2026). The snow conditions were perfect, with several beautiful sunny days.

Our room was very comfortable, with plenty of wardrobe space, which made it easy to stay organized. The food was excellent, especially at dinner. The chefs and service team were incredibly kind and accommodating. A special thank you to the pizza chef, who prepared a plain pizza crust (no toppings!) for our son every day — that meant a lot to us.

The main reason to visit Tomamu is definitely the ski program. The Mini Club offers morning and afternoon group ski lessons (included), and private lessons are also available. The ski instructors are excellent, and it was impressive to see the kids grouped by level and progressing confidently throughout the week. A big shout-out to Daniela, Ella, and Chris (UK) for taking such great care of our children.

Adults also have daily group lessons, ranging from Club Beginner to Club 6. We had the pleasure of skiing with Ben (UK) most of the time, and we would also like to thank the other excellent ski instructors we met during the week: Flo, Gus (Denmark), Ryo (Sapporo), and Brooke (Australia).

The Mini Club team deserves special praise. Mornings are busy, but the GOs manage everything smoothly and are very attentive. Zoe and Jake were wonderful with our kids.

By the end of the week, our children were exhausted but extremely happy — calling it their “best holiday ever.” We focused mainly on skiing and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We’re already thinking about coming back next year.

We have been coming to CM Tomamu for 4 years straight now and we will most likely return again next year. Our two boys have really enjoyed the Snowboarding and Skiing lessons and have made great progress even though we come once a year. The staff were nice, pleasant and helpful as always and especially this trip, I would like to give my complements to the Nurse/Medical team there. I had a pretty nasty accident and dislocated my elbow and the team managed to get me patched up quite nicely. Thanks to Skye (a skiing instructor who stopped to help arrange for medics team). Special thanks to the nurse (I'm bad with names but I think it was Natsuko or Natsuki) who went and stayed with me during my ride on the ambulance to the local clinic.

Definitely looking forward to hitting back the slopes again next year!
