"Visited Club Med Tomamu for 9 nights. We are a family of 3 : 2 adults and a 4 year old girl. Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this property and ski resort.

Arrival & Room:
We stayed in a Junior Family Superior room. The room was well equated, clean and set up well. Whilst the SQM of the room (42) on the website might seem small, the rooms are spacious and they have done well to make the most of the space with a large amount to storage for clothes and ski gear. [...]
Food & Beverage:
The included restaurant was very good. Yes it is an all inclusive property with a buffet, but it is a huge buffet with a great variety. On top of that the chefs and kitchen team provide daily specials to mix it up. This includes options for children and adults. [...]
Outside the set dining times (7:30AM -09:30AM, 12PM - 2PM. 6PM - 8:30PM) there was the bar and theatre where you you get a tea, coffee, cocktail, beer etc..., basically any time from 09:00 until 11:00PM. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
MiniClub:
We enrolled our daughter in the all day MiniClub and lessons. [...]
You have the option of leaving your kids on the club all day, having just lunch with them or having ski with them. We mixed this up through out the week. Our daughter loved her lessons and the down time in the club. Although the youngest in her group, she made friends and always had a smile on her face. [...]
The greatest part of the MiniClub was the ski lessons.[...} Julieanne and Gert, did an amazing job teaching our daughter the skills to improve and give her confidence, to the point where she is now carving her turns and is confident on blue runs.

Private Lessons:
I booked several private lessons for my wife, who is an intermediate coming back from injury.[...]
Jason was great - he gave my wife the skills and confidence to come back form her injury start to smile when skiing. So much so that by the last day she wanted to ski more, which is a first! She also had Gert, for the last day and she was great as well. It was the first time my wife had skied in powder like we had and Gert had her confident on blue runs in boot deep snow. [...]
[...}But the highlight is the Kirin-no Yu outdoor spa. Hot, open air and completely silent, an amazing experience not to be missed. There are two separated by sex and is a traditional naked Japanese spa/Onsen like experience. My wife took our daughter to the female one and she loved sitting in the warm spa as the snow fell around her.

Unforgettable snowboarding experience in the trees
5/5 • 17/01/2025This is my third vacation at a Club Med resort, and like always, they delivered an amazing experience with minimal effort on planning or reservations. Club Med Tomamu in beautiful Hokkaido offers a hassle-free ski vacation with everything you need.
The spacious, clean rooms are larger than typical Japanese hotel rooms, and the convenience of ski-in, ski-out access is unbeatable. You also get free access to a shared hot spa at a neighboring resort, perfect for unwinding after a day on the slopes.
Dining is another highlight, with three buffet meals daily featuring a wide variety—from sushi and steak to burgers and pizza—plus unlimited drinks.
The most incredible part is their ski team. They help you find the perfect gear and offer excellent ski and snowboarding classes for all levels. A huge shoutout to my snowboarding coach, Braca, who guided me through the mountains, cutting through trees and chasing powder—a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

5/5 • 16/01/2025This is our 3rd Club Med holiday. We have done France, Mauritius and here. We have 4 boys aged 7 to 13. It is a top notch holiday for everyone including the parents not having to think about food 4 times a day. We have a sone with coeliac , the staff are fantastic and go out of the way to help. Rooms are great. Facilities are great. Food as a buffet that changed menu 3 times a day.7 days a week is amazing. People complaining on here about terible food and chaos with kids running around are obviously massive Karens and should shove off to another holiday by themselves maybe in a cave somewhere. There are more young families with little kids on this holiday than others we have been to but obviously suites the Aussie market as 90%of people here are from Australia. Unfortunately a few sick kids with gastro but that van happen to any resort anytime and does not mean that is the standard... its not. Its called an outlier.
Best bit of it all Tino and solid super dude behind the bar that made us his secret cocktail the T&T... the Best. Slurp that thing down in one gushbor sip it slowly. Had everyone enquiring where to get one. See Tino and ask for his Special Cocktail.

Best skiing holiday ever.
5/5 • 14/01/2025This holiday has been excellent and I am sad that we have to leave so soon. The teens club was great esspecially with Mathew. Mathew is really nice but also super funny. He is totaly Ammmmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazziiiinnnggggggg,!!! And me and my friends will never forget him.
