Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Great food. Great tennis program. We have been there three times now. All have been excellent. Well above average all inclusive food. Resort was under construction from a fire but that didn’t impact our stay. They have a great kids program too. Love the new kids waterpark.

Only rated a 4 out of 5 due to the renovations that are in progress and some areas were not open; however, once the renos are completed, the facilities will be amazing. The beautiful setting, the kids programs, the daily and nightly entertainment, the new waterpark, the mini club facilities and GO’s, the circus GO’s - everything was fabulous. Safety and privacy of the resort are always a plus with Club Med, particularly with the number of families & they do it so well.

This was our first CM experience; we are a family of 4 with 2 teenage girls (12/15). We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom units in the "Colon" building. The rooms were clean and quiet (as it I couldn't hear any other occupants) but it was LOUD at night; the base of the music coming from the Indigo Bar carries and is really thumpy; prepare yourself with bringing your airpods or ear plugs and a white noise app.

The resort was being maintained while we were there so we didn't get to experience the 'full' resort, but what we did get to use and do was nice. We enjoyed the tennis/pickleball programing and our girls enjoyed the circus and free snorkeling. They didn't participate in the teen-programming. We tried to do a snorkeling excursion but it was too windy so we just snorkeled off the coast (free).

The food options were probably some of the best I've had considering its an all inclusive. The variety at the buffet was good and the options were healthy. We didn't really enjoy our 'reservation' required dinner at Indigo so ate almost all our meals at the buffet (Hispaniola). I wish they had a snack room where you could grab and go some nuts, fruit etc throughout the day. Given how active we were it was sometimes hard to wait for 'meal times' and we were not interested in sitting down at Indigo to eat at snack time.

Although the spa was under construction the make-shift spa they set up was very nice and my massage was surprisingly one of the best ones I've had at a resort!

It took us forever to find the new waterpark because it isn't labeled on any of the maps or the booklet they give you; a simple sticker would be sufficient to help orient people if they don't want to reprint maps/booklets.

We met a lot of families who were out there for their 4th+ time, we may go back but we also may just try another CM destination.

We had a great stay in Punta Cana despite the construction work. The Zen zone is magnificent! We were able to relax and feel disconnected from the world for a few days. The Zen team took great care of us and contributed to the success of our stay. A little disappointed by the food, which could have been of better quality! However, we're tempted to come back next time with our teenagers who dream of discovering Club Med Punta Cana! (It's still very expensive for a family of 4).
