Learn moreThis was our second Club Med stay after Bali. We are a couple without kids and usually prefer activity-packed holidays rather than just relaxing by the pool. We also always look for resorts with tennis courts.
The first two days were very windy because of the typhoon, and all outdoor activities were canceled. (Shoutout to Uli, who handled everything so professionally and always put safety first! We also enjoyed chatting with you one night.)
Even so, we had a great time playing squash. It was our first time trying it, and GO Kyon was an awesome teacher. He explained everything in a simple way and even organized a fun tournament, which we really enjoyed.
From the third day onwards, the weather was beautiful and we could finally join the tennis lessons. We were lucky enough to have both Kyon and Rachel coaching during the handover period. They are honestly fantastic tennis coaches. I improved my tennis so much in such a short time thanks to their tips, and I especially loved playing the "dingles" game.
Whether you're completely new to tennis or already serious about it, this is a great place to play and improve.

I can't mention every GO by name, but everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, no matter what their role was. Thanks for making our stay so much fun! 😊
A wonderful place with amazing staff and facilities/ activities. Ideal for families with fun for children, parents and grandparents. The childcare with activities allows adults to fully enjoy their time and relax. Equally enjoyable for common activities. Second time to Kabira for us and would not be surprised if we came back. Loved it.

Kenzo who we probably spoke with more than anyone else was the consummate professional who just happened to also have a sense of humor ;) Riley who is new at the bar, was always welcoming and made the best lemon, lime, soda and salt drink. Hakim from the bar, thank you.
There were many helpful and friendly staff around the restaurant - the standout was Datsan. Always warm and professional. We had a delightful lunch with Kevin who does lighting.
I’m sure I’ve missed many. The experience was superb. For anyone wanting to have a full on relaxing holiday. Come to Club Med. We depart today, sadly.
My family and I had such a memorable experience here at Club Med Kabira. Starting with the extremely hard working staff and facilities, everything was pretty much perfect, and it was all a great getaway and relaxing time from our busy lives. Our 2 year old had a blast at the petit club as well. For a picky 2 year old in his terrible twos, we could tell he was enjoying every moment with everyone. Although it’s hard to pick a small number from a large amount of such hard working staff, I definitely want to give a special shoutout to Sissy and Yulia for making our little boy so happy and also having him feel at home, and Eva for managing the mini club and making sure they were happy.
Every time we went to eat we were welcomed and given a table immediately and both the service and the food were amazing. Dastan made sure every single need from big to small was covered and was double checking as well. We never had to worry about a thing!
The bar was the place for us to just go whenever we wanted to sit down and rejuvenate- this was also an amazing part of our holiday. We ended up going 2-3 times everyday and to have a clean place with a view to just chill at was amazing! A special mention to Kenzo, who was welcoming, attentive, and helped make the experience enjoyable from start to finish. He and the staff were knowledgeable and created a comfortable, friendly environment.
The shows, the atmosphere, the activities… this post would be too long if I kept writing everything down! I will definitely be back. I was worried things would have changed since I was here last in 2007, but it all just seems the same or even better. Finally, I would like to thank Shiho as well for kickstarting our stay and having a great, chill vibe from start to finish!
We stayed here for 5 nights with our family and had an absolutely wonderful experience.
What truly made this a 5-star stay was the incredible staff. Our son spent time at the Petit Club and was so well looked after by Sissy. There were endless activities for the children, and he had such a great time that he always wanted to go back.
We also visited the bar every day to relax and were always warmly welcomed by Kenzo. We had many great conversations with him, and he provided excellent recommendations for places to visit around Ishigaki.
The food was another highlight of our stay. The breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus changed daily, and everything was absolutely delicious. There was a huge variety of options, including savoury dishes, fresh salads, fruits, drinks, alcohol, pastries, and desserts. Dastan helped us in the restaurant nearly, everyday and his customer service skills were amazing.
Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly hardworking, talented, and attentive. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Many were bilingual, participated in entertainment and performances, and were always ready to help with a smile, no matter the time of day.
We would love to return to Club Med Okinawa in the future and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing holiday.
We had a wonderful 4D3N stay at Club Med Kabira from 30 May to 2 June and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
A special thank you to Tom from the Teen Club. He was incredibly kind, caring, and attentive to the kids. My son Austin absolutely loved the Teen Club activities and made new friends from many different countries. Thanks to Tom’s encouragement, he tried almost everything available, including mini golf, tennis, table tennis, squash, swimming, circus activities, and performances. It was truly a memorable experience for him.
The resort itself is beautiful, with a stunning beach and crystal-clear water. We enjoyed sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling in the pristine surroundings. The atmosphere was relaxing, the staff were friendly, and there were plenty of activities for both adults and children.
Thank you to the entire Club Med Kabira team for making our family holiday so enjoyable. We would happily return and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Ishigaki Island.
