Cherating Beach Malaysia

Such an amazing experience, the resort is well maintained, loads of activities and programs, food was excellent and bar service was very good. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Beyond expectation. Definitely coming back! Maybe not during monsoon season though. Highly recommend for families and even for businesses.

The GOs, Zoey, Grayson and Chen were very professional and friendly.
They welcomed our group when we arrived. Grayson explained clearly to us when distributing the envelopes on the coach. Zoey was very helpful in handling some issues arising during our stay. Chen attended to us whenever we had queries.
Bravo to all the GOs. They really make their GMs feel at home.

I would like to give a special thank you to Naka from the Front Office team. He was in charge of planning and took great care of us from the moment we arrived. He immediately checked on our room condition, clearly explained about the late check-out, and always made sure we were comfortable.

We even had lunch together, and he was so friendly and easy to talk to. Throughout our stay, he was always checking on us and making sure everything was okay. His kindness and attention really made a big difference in our experience.

When we landed in Kuantan and collected our bags we were met by the Club Med representative. Along with us there was another group arriving at the same time. All 10 of us were squeezed into a van that said Max passengers was 8. There were too many people and too much luggage for this to be comfortable. We made it still with smiles on our faces because our holiday in our Jungle paradise had begun. We were met with disappointment after being told our rooms wouldn't be ready til 3pm (this has never happened in any Club Med resort I'd been to before). The GO that gave us our resort information was so quiet we could hardly hear her. We were left feeling like we just had to work it out ourselves by using the app. When we could finally access the room there was no GO to walk us there and show us where it was (again something that has happened on all my Club Med trips since I was 10!) we were told to head to our room ourselves.

Food:
Major disappointment. Lacked taste and variety. Breakfasts were probably the worst.

GOs:
I've always told people that GOs make Club Med great. My first couple of days I was left extremely disappointed as this GO Team seemed unfriendly and uninterested.
I was pleased to then meet Job and Jover. Both were so lovely and always stopped to have a chat. They turned our whole stay around.
On our last night we were joined at dinner by Jadd and Cammy. Both were very friendly and we had an enjoyable time chatting to them.
Job- Thank-you for trying to teach me some French. Hopefully we see eachother again and I'm able to remember some words.
Jover- You are an extremely talented individual. I enjoyed watching you perform and getting to know you. Until next time 😊

The Bar Team were always friendly and did a great job.

Room:
I knew this resort was older so wasn't expecting much. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. My bed was very comfortable, nice and soft unlike beds I've slept in at other villages.

Activities:
On wet days there wasn't much to do at all. We tried to do as much as we could on the 2 sunny days we had. It was nice to spend the week relaxing at the bar or by the pool.
I enjoyed my visit to the Zen Pool. The water was the perfect temperature.

Spa:
Probably my favourite place in the resort. I had 2 massages plus 2 other treatments. I've never felt so relaxed.

This resort really is beautiful. The monkeys can be terrifying and did chase my son at one point. There are lots of lovely nature walks. We will definitely return one day.

Cosy rooms. Full of activities for the whole family. Alternatively, just staying by the beach with a drink in hand is a great enough experience. Food was decent enough. Though i would recommend sticking with the buffet stuff which was much better in comparison to the chef specialties. The bar was a highlight of my stay. The bartenders were very accommodating and professional. Special shout out to Chloe for her drink recommendations and warm service. Same goes to Zhi Rou (Zero?).
