Les Boucaniers Martinique - French West Indies

We travelled from the UK for a 10 night stay via Paris....the location of this resort is stunning with a jetty that is used for water skiing (all included) and sandy beaches. The GM is always around and very friendly. Cannot fault the buffet meals- something for everyone and loved the fresh fruit smoothies for breakfast and tuna tartare at dinner. We moved rooms for the last 3 nights of our stay to a more renovated block on the 1st floor with a lovely beach view. We played lots of table tennis and had a fantastic day on a catamaran trip seeing the historic Diamond Rock - you see bird species that nest there - this is well worth doing and you can book with the travel team - snorkelling with turtles was a highlight of the trip and the crew were great. A tip: the resort will hold circa £225 to open an account which is handy in the shop if you want to charge items to the room....they close this when you leave the resort. We also took a taxi to the site of the volcano, Mount Pelee, which shows you villages enroute (didn't do the hike on the volcano) and on the return we stopped off at the slave memorial, Anse Cafard, which I found very moving - 15 statues made from cast concrete and sand that look out to sea. There is something for everyone at this resort -even padel courts, a diver centre and a gym! They alos offer free windsurfing lessons. Can also recommend walking to Sainte-Anne which was charming and has some souvenir shops and a supermarket. A tip: bring beach shoes as there may be sea urchins and come prepared to speak French! we did have quite a lot of rain at this time of year.

Went went to Club Med Les Buccaneers for the second year in a row because it was so enjoyable the first time. We went with our family, including our twin 8 year old and 4 year old grandkids along with their high energy parents. We were kept endlessly busy and happy. It was as a great experience all around. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent with so many choices even for fussy kids. Thanks for a great vacation!

Had a great time at Club Med Martinique recently.

The island of Martinique is very green, lush, and beautiful. The streets were amongst the cleanest I have visited in the Caribbean. And the tap water is drinkable as well so that's a plus.

Club Med Martinique was on a crystal clear bay with lots of sea life right off the shallow beach. No jellyfish but watch your step for sea urchins in the rocky parts.

For activities, we learned to windsurf, waterski, and wakeboard as well as kayak or SUP. Our favourite GO was Sebastien at Ski Nautique who ensured we were successful.

I would certainly come back to visit this Club Med.

The resort is beautiful and beautifully kept. It was our first time at a club med so we didn’t have any comparators but we’ve been to several all inclusive resorts and the food here was excellent. The only drawback is that the beach is relatively small and can get quite crowded. While we did find a quieter spot it’s not like other resorts where you might feel secluded. Lots of free activities and lots of extra pay activities here. We participated in yoga almost every morning and the instructor Magali was amazing and very funny. She also taught the salsa lessons and is a fantastic dancer. She exemplified the GOs at the resort - warm friendly and always willing to assist.
